We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in Medikro’s mission to improve respiratory health worldwide. Recently, our spirometer was put in use at the United mission to Nepal hospital in Tansen, Nepal, marking a significant step forward in healthcare for this high-altitude community.
Located at an altitude of 1,300 meters and a day’s journey from Kathmandu, this 70-year-old UMN mission hospital now offers spirometry services for the first time. The initial spirometer was donated by one of our distributors, and Medikro has provided all necessary accessories and software to ensure the highest standards of care.
Biomedical Engineer Advisor, Otto Ardeby, expressed his gratitude and excitement: “This is a thank you to everyone involved. We are grateful to finally add spirometry to our services, helping us better diagnose and treat respiratory conditions at this high-altitude location.”
This launch is not just about introducing technology but also about the people and partnerships that make such advancements possible. At Medikro, we are committed to supporting healthcare professionals like Otto and the communities they serve. This project in Nepal is a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation in healthcare.
